Blackbuck Antelope

Blackbuck Antelope have a black coat with white underparts. The females and young males are yellowish-brown. The males are born light brown and then grow blacker on their backs as they grow older.

 

Males stand about 32 inches tall at the shoulders and weigh between 70 and 90 pounds. Female Blackbuck Antelope are smaller, beige or light brown, and do not have horns. Blackbuck Antelope are some of the fastest animals on earth. They can run almost 50 miles per hour when necessary.
